John Parrott MBE
John Parrott is a former UK, European and World snooker champion and undoubtedly one of the best known names to have played Snooker in the past couple of decades. He is still a big part of the snooker scene, performing in the “Snooker Legends” series and the world seniors tournaments. John spent 14 consecutive years in the top 16 of the World Rankings, eleven of those were spent in the top six and was ranked world number two for three years. He ranks seventh on the all time list of ranking tournament winners being one of only five players to hold both the world and UK championship in the same calendar year, back in 1991. He was awarded an MBE in 1996.
In recent years, John has established himself as one of the main faces on BBC’s sports coverage, appearing on the channel’s snooker team both as a pundit and presenter and also on Horse Racing broadcasts including the Derby, Royal Ascot and Grand National.

Dennis Taylor
Dennis Taylor is one of the best known names in Snooker after spending 20 years ranked in the top 16 and subsequently became one of the biggest personalities British Sport.
Taylor will be remembered for his 1985 World Championship victory. A record audience for a Snooker match, 18.5 million people watched on the BBC with victory over Steve Davis – claiming the win on the final black of the final frame after coming back from 8-0 down. This saw Dennis Taylor become a huge public figure and went on to appear on various TV chat shows.
Recently, Dennis has become a Snooker commentator for the BBC and still remains best known for his over-sized glasses, although his endearing personality and humour ensures he is great value when making any celebrity appearance.
