Steve Bull is best described as a Wolverhampton Wanderers legend and remains the club’s all time top scorer with 306 goals (250 in the league) from 474 games for the Black Country club between 1986 and 1989.

Born in Tipton in 1965, Steve started out at his home town club, amateur side, Tipton Town. At the age of 19, a tally of 17 goals in 20 games for the Staffordshire club was enough to attract the interest of West Bromwich Albion, courtesy of Baggies scout and Tipton manager Sid Day. Steve soon made an impression after joining West Brom and was handed his debut in 2-1 win over Crystal Palace in October 1985. However, chances were limited at the Hawthorns and one year later, he was sold to Albion’s local rivals, Wolverhampton Wanderers in November 1986.

In total, Steve spent 13 years at Wolves and was a hit with fans throughout due to his scoring prowess, during his time at Molineux, Steve helped the club to win back-to-back promotions from Division Four in 1988 and Division Three 12 months later. Sadly though, Wolves could never make the step up to the top flight during Bull’s time at the club but that did not deter from him continuing to score goals and remaining fiercely loyal to the club.

Steve’s goalscoring record was recognised by England manager, Sir Bobby Robson, who handed him his England debut in May 1989 against Scotland where he scored. He went on to win 13 caps for England and scored a total of four goals and was a member of the 1990 World Cup squad.

Steve retired from the game in 1999 and has continued his close links with Wolves ever since and in the club named a stand after him in 2003 and made him honorary Vice President in 2006 and he also does a lot of Charity work.

Born in Kent in 1962, Tony started out at a local amateur side, Crockenhill FC, before making the move to the professional ranks at the age of 20 with Gillingham. He stayed at the Priestfield Stadium for six years, making 219 appearances for the Gills and scoring 78 goals before Millwall paid £225,000 for his services in 1987. In his first season at the Den, Cascarino was part of the Millwall sqaud that was promoted from the old Second Division to the First Division (now Premier League) and the transition to the top flight didn’t phase Tony as he went on score 42 goals in 105 appearances for the Lions, attracting the attention of bigger clubs in the process.

Tony left The Den for Aston Villa in 1990 for a club record fee at the time of £1.1 million, he went on to play 46 times for Villa, scoring 11 goals before moving to Celtic and later Chelsea where he played in the inaugural Premiership season. In 1994, at the age of 32, Tony left Stamford Bridge for Olympique Marseilles in France where he enjoyed his most prolific goalscoring spell, netting 61 times in 84 games for the French club. He left Marseilles for fellow French top flight club, Nancy, where he made over 100 appearance in three years. During his time in France, Cascarino earned the nickname “Tony Goal”, his final club was also in France, Red Star 93 where he made just two appearances before retiring.

During his career, Cascarino also won 88 caps for Ireland scoring 19 goals and played in the side’s 1990 and 1994 World Cup campaigns under Jack Charlton.

Since his retirement, Tony has become a semi professional Poker player as well as undertaking various roles in the media from Talksport to writing columns in newspapers such as The Times, Irish Daily Mirror and presenting on TV programmes such as TV3′s coverage of the Champions League.

MTV’s Geordie Shore hit the screens in the summer of 2011 as the gang of girls and lads ‘got on it’ in the party haunt of Newcastle’s the Diamond Strip.

The show was inspired by the hit US phenomenon, Jersey Shore, and from the city that gave us Jimmy Nail, Cheryl Cole and Gazza, the the cult Newcastle series version follows the group of Geordies living and partying in a five star house.

Geordie Shore’s first series was so popular that a follow up summer special was commissioned, called Magaluf Madness, which broke viewing records on MTV! The second series aired in early 2012 once again attracting huge audiences.

Geordie Shore cast members are Rebecca Walker, Ricci Guarnaccio, Vicky Pattinson, Charlotte-Letitia Crosby, Gary Beadle, Sophie Kasaei, Jay Gardner, James Tindale. They are in great demand for live PA’s – either individually, or as a group.

Working directly with management, we can help add a bit of Geordie mayhem to your event, please contact us for booking information.

Within a couple of seasons Merse was a regular on the right wing, and was hugely influential in helping Arsenal to the first division title in 1999. It was a great season personally for him scoring 10 goals, making his debut for the England U21′s, and to top it all off was voted PFA Young Player of the Year!

Many winners medals were added to his collection over the following years including another League championship in 1991, FA Cup and League Cups in 1993 and the Cup Winners’ Cup. Merse also made his full International debut for England in 1994, but later that year his career was on the brink of collapse when he publicly admitted to being an alcoholic and cocaine addict. Following a three month rehabilitation programme he returned to the game in February 1995.

Merse played 425 times for Arsenal, scoring 99 goals and then in the summer of 1997 he signed for recently relegated Middlesbrough for £5 million which made him the most expensive ever purchase by a non Premier League Club.

Paul was instrumental in Middlesbrough’s promotion push as they were Promoted to the Premier League as runners up. In the summer he was then part of the England Squad for the 1998 World Cup, scoring a penalty in the shoot out with Argentina whilst being the only non Premier League player in the squad.

He was sold to Aston Villa for £6.75 million in the Autumn of 1998, where he remained for nearly five years, helping them reach the 2000 FA Cup Final. At the end of the 2001-02 season, he was given a free transfer and signed for Harry Redknapps Portsmouth, and was instrumental in helping them to promotion to the Premiership in 2002-03.

In the summer of 2003 Paul moved to Division One Side Walsall and following his return from an Arizona Clinic to seek help for his gambling addiction was appointed Caretaker Manager. He couldn’t save Walsall from relegation to League 1 but was then appointed Manager on a full time basis. With the club in the relegation zone in the 2005/06 season he was sacked. After a short spell at Conference Club Tamworth Merse announced his retirement in March 2006.

Merse can now be seen on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday every weekend, and has also established himself as one of most sought after speakers on the after dinner circuit. His open and honest stories about his life on and off the pitch, and the players he played with and against, are both fascinating and revealing. He certainly lived life to the full, had many highs and lows, good and bad times, and nothing is off limits to discuss with him!

In a 7 year spell at Villa Park, he made around 200 appearances for the Villains, and played a huge part in the most successful period of the clubs history.

He was part of a great side that won the First Division Championship in 1980/81 season, and the following season they went on to win the European Cup by defeating Bayern Munich in the Final in Rotterdam. In 1983 Villa were crowned European Super Cup Champions with a victory over Spanish giants Barcelona!

Colin moved on to Manchester United in 1985, and during his five years at Old Trafford he played around 80 games, before signing for Leicester City in 1990. He was a key player for the Foxes, and following two Play Off Final defeats, Gibbo was part of the side that defeated local rivals Derby County in the 1994 Wembley Play Off Final, which saw Leicester promoted to the Premier League.

Gibbo signed for Walsall following a very short spell at Blackpool, helping them gain promotion as Division 3 Runners up in 1995 before finally hanging up his boots after more than 360 career appearances. To book Colin, please get in touch below.

He joined Scunthorpe for a fee of £50,000 and then transferred to Oxford, where he clocked up 181 appearances and in 1996 was voted their Player of the Year. Thanks to a Scottish grandparent, Matt became an international footballer less than a year after joining Leicester, and was part of the Scotland Squad for the 1998 World Cup in France

His career hit a peak in the early part of 2000 with his match-winning, goalscoring efforts in both the semi-final and Final of the Worthington Cup, a trio of headers that quite rightly saw him lifting the trophy as Captain on his fifth visit to Wembley.

During the latter part of the 2003/04 season, Matt joined Ipswich Town helping them into the Championship play-offs.

Matt was Assistant Manager to Tim Flowers at Stafford Rangers, and following Tims resignation he took over as First Team Manager before leaving in May 2011.

Honours

Born in Kolding, Denmark in 1963, Jan Molby started his professional football career at the age of 18 playing for his home town team, Kolding IF. Just one season was enough for Molby to establish himself as a promising talent and after just one season at Kolding, the central midfielder moved to Ajax Amsterdam in 1982.

After spending two years at the Dutch Giants, winning the league title and Dutch Cup in the process, Jan was signaled out by then Liverpool manager, Joe Fagan, as a transfer target and the Anfield legend soon got his man as Molby made the move to Merseyside for a fee of £200,000.

Jan’s time at Liverpool can only be described as colorful, with his career at Anfield ranging from an influential midfielder on the pitch and a legend amongst supporters to battles with his weight and even a spell in prison!

It wasn’t until Kenny Dalglish replaced Fagan as Liverpool manager in 1985 that Molby really started to shine as a player and became known for his great vision and became a great source of assists to striker, Ian Rush. Jan was also a regular contributor to goals himself, especially from set pieces where the power and precision of his free kicks gave opponents plenty to worry about.

Jan was instrumental in Liverpool’s League and FA Cup double winning side of 1985/1986 but the following season was disrupted by a broken foot for the Dane. After making a return to the first team, his impact was once again limited, this time after a three month spell behind bars for a driving offence.

Molby was back to his best by the 1989/1990 season when he helped Liverpool to another league title and he remained a regular fixture in the side that won the FA Cup in 1992.

In total, Jan made a total of 218 appearances for Liverpool before he left the club in 1996, scoring 44 during his time at Anfield. Jan also won 33 caps for Denmark and played in the 1986 World Cup.

After leaving Liverpool, Jan played for Swansea City before going in to management, firstly with Swansea City, before moving on to take charge of Kidderminster Harriers and Hull City. A breif spell when in charge of Kidderminster for a second spell in 2003/2004 was his last job as a manager and Jan has since gone on to take up a number of roles and appearances in the media.

A very popular and likeable person, Jan’s stories will have any audience laughing and is a great addition to any event. If you would like to enquire about booking him, please get in touch using the form below.

As a youngster, John was a part of Ipswich’s successful youth team and was a centre-half who, after being fifth choice at the beginning of the season, soon began to star in the first team and make a big impression. He later progressed from defence into a free-scoring midfielder, playing 384 matches and scoring 136 goals in his first spell at the Portman Road club.

John was crowned PFA’s Player of the Year in Ipswich’s successful UEFA cup-winning 1980-81 season, scoring in every round of the competition, 14 goals in total!

John made a high-profile move to Liverpool in 1984 and was the leading goalscorer at Anfield with 27 goals in his first full season. He scored 18 goals in 40 league games and continued his incredible striking rate in Europe, scoring five times in nine games, four in seven FA cup games and bagged three hat-tricks and scored his 100th league goal, ironically in a game against Ipswich. Wark played a total of 62 games that first season (84/85) but it ended in tragedy when John was in the Liverpool starting XI that fateful night at Heysel, when Liverpool had hoped to win the European cup for the second year running.

Midway through the 1987-88 season John found himself on his way back to Ipswich. Wark moved back to his old position as centre-half for two more years at Protman Road before he moved to Middlesbrough after being voted the club’s player of the year in two successive seasons.

John then returned “home” one year later for his third spell and played 6 more years until his retirement at 40 in 1997. He helped Ipswich to the Division 2 Championship in 1991/92 season, which gained them promotion to the newly formed Premier League and helped the club establish itself in the top flight. He was also voted Ipswich Player of the Year for the third time!

John is Ipswich Town’s third-highest all-time scorer, with 179 goals, despite rarely appearing as a striker, playing a total 670 games for the Suffolk club.

John was also a full Scottish International, winning 29 caps and scoring seven goals. He was part of the Scotland Squad for the 1982 FIFA World Cup in Spain, in which he made three appearances and scored twice.

John can also boast appearing in one of the most famous football films of all time, Escape to Victory, featuring alongside fellow players Russell Osman, Kevin Beatie, Mike Summerbee, Ossie Ardiles, Pele as well as Hollywood Stars Michael Caine and Sylvester Stallone!

John is a great character with a lot of stories to tell, he makes for a great guest at any function or event. To book John, please get in touch with us below.
