Alan Kennedy
Alan is most fondly remembered by the Liverpool faithful for his goals in the European Cup Finals of 1981 and 1984, where he helped their most successful ever team win Two European Cups. To this day, he is still the only Englishman to have scored 2 European Cup winning goals, against Real Madrid in 1981 and AS Roma in 1984.

Alan’s began his footballing career when he signed as a professional for Newcastle in 1972, making his league debut as an eighteen year old in 1973. In just over 6 years, he played nearly 200 games for the Magpies, including the 1974 Cup Final against Liverpool and the 1976 League Cup Final against Manchester City.
Bob Paisley broke the British transfer fee for a full back in August 1978, paying Newcastle United £300,000 for his services . Alan went on to play over 350 games for The Reds, achieving an amazing haul of 14 major winners medals at Anfield. In 1985 Alan signed for Lawrie McMenemy”s Sunderland, where he stayed for 2 years, followed by spells at Huskvarna i n Sweden, Beerschot in Belgium, Club 1903 of Denmark and finally Wrexham. His career as a professional came to an end in 1990 due to a knee injury, by which time he had clocked up more than 500th career appearances spanning some 17 years.
Alan is now a very popular figure on the after dinner speaking circuit and is a regular host at Anfield on matchdays. He holds a full coaching badge and has been running his successful Soccer Schools for children for many years.
